FAITH FACTS YOU NEED TO BE HEALED

Lesson 18

Faith fact number six: God has given us many avenues in His word to receive supernatural healing, and He will meet you where you are in order to heal you.

The prayer of agreement. Jesus said, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19) “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Jesus promises that if two believers agree on earth about healing, it will be done for them by the Father.

Anointing with oil and the prayer of faith from church elders. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15)

The gifts of healings. The manifestation of the Spirit is given is given to each one for the profit of all …to one is given … gifts of healings … (1 Corinthians 12:7, 9) Certain believers are gifted by the Holy Spirit to bring healing to other people. This gift flows through them as the Spirit wills, not as they will. We see this gift operating through Philip, one of the first believers, who went to Samaria and preached Christ to the people. His healing gift was specifically directed toward physically disabled people: many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. (Acts 8:7)

Faith in the name of Jesus. Peter and John attributed the healing of the lame man at the Gate Beautiful to faith in the Name of Jesus. “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know,” Peter told the bystanders. “Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”  (Acts 3:16)

Special manifestations of power. Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. (Acts 19:11-12) We see cloth being able to transmit God’s healing anointing to the sick and cure them. God still does unusual miracles by the hands of His servants, for Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Healing by faith in God’s word. If you were on a desert island and had no access to people with gifts of healings or could not attend special healing meetings, or even if you didn’t have one other believer to agree with you in prayer, you could still receive healing. All you need is one verse in the Bible that you can stand on. Here’s a good one to remember: “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”  (Matthew 21:22) Don’t forget that little word, “believing.” It’s not what we pray about that we will receive, but what we pray about, believing, that will come to pass.

Confession: God wants me healed so much that He has provided a multitude of ways for me to receive supernatural healing.
